FRAGILITY
For this works I started to experiment with a digital print, an enlarged blood vesel, image realised for medical purose. I was very impressed by this kind of structures and I started to think about how fragile we are humans. This enlarged image made me to punch the surface with a melting tool, but befor that I choosed some detalies and used embroidery with viscose. The result was a huge fragile surface, impresing by the monumentality of the textile. My work Fragility II was exhibited in 2015 at the 5th International Textile Triennial in Szombathely, Hungary and won the First Prize in Flag category.

This work, Linen Rhapsody in Blue – will participate in the 12th edition of Linen Cloth Biennial in Krosno Poland in 2024. My work is a tribute to all traditional linen textile so popular in many cultural heritage of the world. Playing with the quality of the material, an applying different other textile interventions, this work is a reflection about how to play with a linen cloth – like the sounds are harmonized in a rhapsody! It was a great pleasure to creat this piece of work!
